Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival at Chimold
At Chimold, we value the rich tapestry of traditions that bind us together as a community. One such cherished occasion is the Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. This festival celebrates the harvest and the beauty of the full moon, symbolizing unity, prosperity, and family reunion.
The Mid-Autumn Festival began as early as 3000 years ago during the Shang Dynasty. While it has certainly evolved over the years, this festival remains at the root of Chinese culture. The Mid-Autumn Festival was traditionally celebrated by the Han Chinese, but many other ethnic groups across China and the entire world now recognize the holiday.Outside of China, the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated by the Japanese, Vietnamese, Koreans, Filipinos, and many others. This offers a clear example of the influence of Chinese culture on the rest of the world.
Families gather to enjoy delicious mooncakes, often representing completeness and togetherness. The evening is spent sharing stories, enjoying tea, and admiring the bright full moon, a reminder of the importance of kinship and gratitude.
At Chimold, we embrace the spirit of this festival and encourage our team members to celebrate with their families and loved ones. It’s a time for reflection, appreciation, and connection, values that resonate deeply within our company culture.
In observance of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Chimold will be closed from September 15 to September 17, 2024.However, our production will continue uninterrupted, ensuring we meet all our commitments and deliveries on time.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to resuming our work together after the holiday!! We wish you all a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival filled with love, happiness, and delightful moonlit moments.
